PARADISE CITY: DEGRASSI GOES TO HOLLYWOOD WED AUG 26 8:00 PM CTV is pleased to present the red carpet screening of Paradise City: Degrassi Goes Hollywood, the first-ever TV movie for Degrassi: The Next Generation. Directed by classic Degrassi actor Stefan Brogren (Archie “Snake” Simpson), the movie was shot in Toronto and Los Angeles in September 2008. The TV movie, which follows the Degrassi gang on a road trip to LA. The Degrassi cast will be attending the red carpet event, as well as many other notable faces from Canadian television. The event is open to the public and is free of charge. Advance tickets will be given out by CTV, visit www.degrassi.ctv.ca for more information. Fans who attend will be entered in a draw to win a VIP trip to Hollywood.

May 19 - Jamie started filming Season 9 of Degrassi, and his fifth season. As always, we are sworn to secrecy about plots and storylines, but we can tell you that fans won't be disappointed with the 2-part season opener - it definitely "goes there".
Earlier this year Jamie and his buddies, Cam and Mike did a charity performance in their community. Here are a couple of shots from the event.

Los Angeles -- Jamie Johnston (Degrassi: The Next Generation) garnered two nominations in the Best Actor category - one for his portrayal of Jason Underhill in the movie, The Tenth Circle and the other for playing Peter Stone on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Johnston has been nominated 6 years in a row for a total of 7 nominations and won awards in 2008 and 2004.
